watching bits and pieces of the movie "must love dogs"
{in the movie the house is so perfect}
{to all my kitchen lovers... swoon!}
`
simmering a pot of beans
{as long as there are beans in the house you have a meal on the table}
{lovely advice from my grandmother}
`
cheese rind never gets thrown away
{into a pot of something it goes}
`
knitting
there must be knitting tonight
to feed my soul
{wink}
`
lately i have been thinking of rituals
the rituals i grew up with
the ones that are now my own
it has come to me more than once
so its time to take my thoughts to paper
these thoughts that crowd me
`
{amazing}

love this collection of photos and the words that follow - beautiful.
You seem like such a kind person. I feel like I know you. I read an article that was published in one of the stampington magazines. Your words were so healing to me. I don't comment enough here, these photos are just gorgeous. Your blog name is just perfect for this space.
your words always warm my soul ~

Hadn't thought about saving cheese rind. Love your new little bowls all lined up. Yes, beans so will be cooking here.
The beans look wonderful! We are having beautiful, cozy days like these too. Hugs...
I think I would love your grandmother...:)
I was just thinking the same thing yesterday...all of these earthquakes got me wanting to prepare a bit, just in case. I ended up buying many cans of extra...beans! I figured, like grandmother, if we have beans and a few seasonings, we've got a good meal. And healthy, too!
much love to you my friend...xoxox
Rituals are interesting to me. I find myself craving them as I get older. Routines to fall into, moments to celebrate, things to do that bring me a little comfort and joy. I love that feeling. And I think this time of year really brings it out.
I.HAVE.KITCHEN.CRUSHES. TOO!!!
I think the latest crush was on the kitchen/dining room combo in Its Complicated...
What are you knitting, Lady...
@Jakki- I know - loved that kitchen! The ultimate kitchen for me was in the movie " Father of The Bride" with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. Love! I am attempting to knit a cowl type scarf for my daughter for xmas. Shh... don't tell her. lol!
@ Sylvia- Thank you so very much, for taking the time to visit here, and leave me such kind words. one love.
i think my fave kitchen was in practical magic - so spacious and there was the green room right adjacent...perfect. and your photos just exude coziness!
:-)
Hello my lovely friend. The light in your photos always makes me feel so good. I love the idea of using a cheese rind--I will have to remember that. Looks like your fall is a beautiful one. It's cooled off a bit here finally and I'm so enjoying the cooler weather.
Lots of love to you!
