happy sweet 16 and dreams ~

sixteen years ago, i sat on the sofa in the middle of the night. i was watching the olympic games, at a very nine months pregnant, loving on a deep fried paczki. ahuh, sure was- with powdered sugar and all. ; ) i guess the story wouldn't be so ironic, if baby girl up there, didn't have olympic dreams of her own today.

last week, we loaded the car up, and hit the road. we drove for miles, and ate the highway up in 100 degree temps, with hopes of helping our girl, inch toward her dreams.

my girl is a curler and she is dreaming big. i see you baby!

...hotels, cold pizza, and late night talks kept hubby and i busy. meanwhile, our girl slept in a smoldering hot dorm room, and trained with the best during the day, in a freezing cold ice rink. please don't get a cold, sweet girl.

before we hit the road for home, we heard only good things about our daughter. i swell with pride, each time a coach tells me, her manners are "flawless". dad kept listening to how she did on the ice... her serve, her sweeping, he's proud folks. ; )

she wants it, my friends. she really wants it. girl power!

as exhausted as we all are, and as slow going as it might be around here, it's our daughters day.
