chalk on the pages ~

there are those rare moments where i am able to turn it all off... when i journal and pull the chalks out, i go deep. passion runs the show and i fill mounds of pages. i write about the past, i write about the amazing times, the dirt, the light, my coffee.
i add torn book pages to my journals
chalk on the pages- like im a badass artist. cause i SO am! lol
...journal about the mistakes i have made in life
i write like no one will ever read these pages
i hope one day my children will learn from my chicken scratched words
i scribble about how many times i have fallen down in life
and about the times i have gotten up from those falls
i sing a song with my pen {without regrets} in these tattered books of mine ; )

do you journal?

oh and how could i forget- a new post is up at wtsb. love!

I just love that you wrote about this. I was an avid journaler for decades...and somehow stopped, although I still work out designs, but it's much more technical and much less about story. But wow, you are inspiring me. I would love to one day read your journal when you are published--which I know you will be :)

Christina, this is so amazing you wrote about this today. I was confiding in a friend the other day that I stopped journaling years ago when someone read my diary without permission. I have missed writing so much. I am going to purchase a journal this weekend.
Thank you friend.

So lovely. I wish I could turn it all off more often. It is SO hard for me. I'm glad you get those moments to create such beauty to share with us!!

I used to journal all the time myself, but haven't done so in years. I love that you are a chalk artist! :) xxoo

I do journal...I keep prayer journals. They aren't fancy. They are very utilitarian. I used to make art journals...with torn pages and ephemera. I don't have an art space anymore so that form of creativity has taken a back seat to photography. And this is fine...although I do miss having fingers sticky with glue at times. xo

I do. Mine is less colorful usually, but I pour my heart out. Writing is always how I've made sense of my thoughts. I have a box up in my closet, full of journals starting from when I was twelve years old. {Thank you so much for your comment on my blog today- it is so sweet that you thought of me :)}

i try to journal like you can't even imagine....i have many journals with just a few pages filled and some with hundreds. basically i collect them as i believe that some journals are just exquisite. even the ones i've made, i love.....

but so often i have the words, but i don't have the time to just sit and play and write. i need to change that.

Hello my friend, it has been too long. I do journal, more on paper lately than on our site. I hope you are well ... xo
