“The smell of good bread baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water,
is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight."

Just yesterday I picked up Somerset Life and loved, loved your pages. I had to share with my husband. Just beautiful!
I also just finished Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. Sad, but good.
Yummm, banana bread looks and sounds good here. Enjoy your slow day. I had a slow start, but now must go read to some kids at the elementary school nearby.

Slow days are some of best days! I'm not reading much except blogs and my own writing as I edit and rewrite.
Have a wonderful evening!
Ohhh...a day of shuffling around in jammies is just what I need. Luckily I've got all of next week OFF. Shuffling jammy days here I come!
As far as reading? Nothing at the moment. Waiting on a book on hold from the library...but can't remember what it is it's been so long. I think it may have been a cook book? lol
what a beautiful post. I see banana cake in my immediate future :)
I just finished a Cyberpunk novel - Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. it was very good! I am about to start The Help. what are you reading?
Love The Art of Eating. Your post on Coeur de La will be up on Monday :) SOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!! Hugs and Love friend. Hugs and Love!
Still reading The Snow Child. It's beautifully written, the kind of book you read slowly to savour the language and imagery ... I love those days of shuffling around in pjs ...
Hello, Christina, you asked what I was reading...currently, "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, by Cheryl Strayed.
I haven't seen your article yet, but I hope to very soon.
Have a blessed day.
Yum! Your banana bread looks too pretty too eat! I just finished reading Being Peace. Next up is The Heart of Understanding.
I am reading blogs! I wish I had time to pick up a book...my life is too full. And coming here just makes my day feel more calm. Thank you for that. xo
Happy Days and weekend to you, my friend. I'm re-reading one of my favorites: Jane Eyre. Almost toward the end of it. Always a wonderful read.
Reading The Hunger Games to see if my 9 year old daugther can/should read it along with most of her friends. I decided no about 20 pages in...but have kept reading out of curiosity (and because it's an easy read). It's unsettling...
Days like this are perfect! I just made banana bread too! I also just finished Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet...such a lovely story.
