sunday moments ~

....

oh i have missed you all so much. i haven't picked up my camera for much, besides work. so i have placed a favorite photo here, from late autumn, early winter.

there has been much life going on here. miles {our doggie} has a uti. poor thing, he is on antibiotics now and seeming a lot better. miles, nearly shook himself out if his sweater, while at the vet. between the x-rays and what-not, it was a lot for him. he hasn't left my side, much of the weekend. he's on the mend.

i am almost done with "the hunger games". i kind of love it. : )

an old fashioned lasagna is on the menu for tomorrow. i haven't made that in so long.

i finally saved enough to buy the 85mm 1.8 lens. yay! it arrived friday. i only shot around out back with it, but oh my, it's a beautiful piece of glass. i have a few events coming up in late summer, and i don't want to be right in the middle of the goings on, so this lens will keep me far enough out of the way, while still journaling the events. thanks for the suggestion, cara. so let me ask you, do you use filters on your lenses?
listen at me going on and on. like i said, i have missed you so much, i hope you are well.
talk soon, my friends.

have a lovely evening.
xo

First off, love that photo. Second, I just finished book one of Hunger games and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. Lastly, Congrats on the new glass! I do use filters but only for protection. Glad to see you back!

hello sweet friend. life just seems to speed up and fast forward ... but i am trying my best to slow the reigns. spending more time with my fingers in the dirt versus tapping on the keyboard. but when i do sign on, my path joyfully brings me by here.

bisous.

Such a beautiful image I think it feels a bit melancholic but it's up to the viewer I think :-)

Hi Christina,
Beautiful image today! I look forward to hearing more about that new lens and seeing some examples:) I use a Singh-Ray LB Warming Polarizer on wet, reflective surfaces. It really helps when shooting into streams or lakes, as then you can see what's below the reflective surface. I want to get some ND filters next. But, this is all about landscape work, or outdoor, anyway. A different animal from much of indoor shooting.
Hope your day is great!
