it was a sweet weekend here. no presents were requested from my son, just a weekend of his favorite foods. i can handle that! it's seems my sunday gravy or fried chicken, are frequent requests from friends and family, instead of presents for celebrations. both are labors of love, and i SO enjoy seeing the smiling faces, and empty plates, for the few times a year, i make these savory treats.

i am reading this book and enjoying it's calm and inviting pages. a good book for a monday.

Teenage boys and food just go together I think! And nothing says love more than a wonderful meal prepared in Mom's kitchen!
