believe in a love ~

....
....
....
"believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
`
a walk in the cold morning air is just what my soul needed. frost and feathers seemed to be everywhere. i took that as a sign to take it all in and enjoy the moment. so i did.

as i walked along, i thought about the footprints we leave behind. what really matters most. i think about these things most, when i am within the solitude of nature.

each morning that i wake up, i have a habit of turning over, reaching toward my nightstand, kissing my hand, then placing that hand on my cross. always glancing at the embroidered scarf, that i have on my stand. my grandmother made that scarf, and we all cherish it. i think that's why i knit, why i take the time to make things with my daughter, teach my son to cook from scratch; take these walks.

my grandmother loved finding feathers, she looked at them as being good luck. i find them to be lucky along with being, kind gifts of the forgotten angels or the sweetest of geese. : )

these paths that we walk while we are here, are so very important for others, when we are not.  it was a beautiful feeling to reflect on what is important to me. and although one of the teenagers, seems to have caught an awful bug, i find this to be a most beautiful and needed day. i'm off to scrub the bathroom and put another load of laundry in. life is good.
thank you... for everything you do. : )

Christina, your words and pictures are the sweetest nectar for the soul.

I think so much about those same things, too.

Thank you, for everything you do.

Yes, I think we all make a difference in this world. You have me thinking of the people in my own life who have made a difference - and how I should really tell them that. Thanks, Christina. I'm so glad YOU are in this world. Your blog is always such a warm and welcoming place to visit.
