a beautiful bowl arrived in the mail for me today. it now has the title of ~ friendship bowl. i love you, my friend. deep sigh, for blue and white.
....
i miss the holiday lights something awful, so now i have a sweet set, strung along side my nightstand.
....
a long awaited book arrived. a loud squeal on my part, made the mail man laugh today. but truthfully, does it get better than "maps for lost lovers"? i really don't think so. : )
"shamus stands in the open door and watches the earth, the magnet that it is,
pull snowflakes out of the sky towards itself"
....
it's snowing here today. i have a roast in the crock pot, with many cloves of garlic, rosemary and a whole onion. i think if i make mashed potatoes, i don't think i will hear a peep, from my family. no mam!
`
stay warm, my friends.
you are loved

19 ladlefuls of love:
Dreamy, so very dreamy here today.
xo
Love getting new books and gifts in the mail. What a special day you had. Now roast in the oven, what could be better! Winter is starting to be felt here too, but no snow. Those poor little flowers that were just peeking out of the ground, oh dear they might get awfully cold. Take care!
Dinner sounds amazing. Save me a plate? Also love that verse. Stay warm friend.
mouth is watering happily now:)
so glad the earth is pulling
snowflakes from the sky
where you live,
it's wild windy here but no
sweetness falling.
I've got lovies traveling on the roads so I wouldn't have that
cozy-tucked-in-safe feeling anyway.
Hope you made the mashed potatoes
to sit alongside that roast divine
...savoring the picture:)
happy wintery night to you,
Jen
That sounds like a wonderful day. And I love that you squealed about your book. I bet the mailperson was amused;)
sending love right back at you sweet friend.
Your day sounds wonderful, dinner in the crock pot, a new book and snow...enjoy.
On winter nights, a meal from the crock pot is a sure sign of love!
What a great title... I might have to check that book out.
Happy weekend, hope the snow takes it easy on you.

Hmm, lights are indeed relaxing. You have given me an idea for a string of lights.
Your crock pot dinner sounds awesome.
I squeal when the mailman comes too! I love your vision of cozy. x
Sounds like a beautiful day! Very cozy especially with your strand of lights. I'm swooning over the quote from your new book.
wow. what a gosh darn beautiful blog you have. and the bowl is sweet too.
hugs,
C.
Oooh what a good line in that book. Must write that title down. I just read Water for Elephants - it's so good! No wonder Hollywood made a movie adaptation of the book. The characters, the settings were visual. (I have yet to see the movie, though.) Next up: The Night Circus.
i love your new friendship bowl :)
do i need to know more about that book?
Sounds like a wonderful day. Such beautiful and inviting images...
oh how i understand your mail arrival joys! this morning i received a library email reminder post that i have two days left to return a book that has brought me such joy... although i don't want to part with it just yet, i know someone else will like it, too. enjoy your bounty. sending love to you today.
-xok.
I love the blurry shot with the circles...and that is indeed a lovely friendship bowl.
Hello lovely Christina, I am in love with the photo you took of that little dish I sent, and am so glad it has found a home in your home. Much love to you this weekend!
xoxo Mary Jo
