here and there and snowflakes ~

....
we are expecting a huge winter storm. snowflakes and more snowflakes. so of course i had to make my way to the market and stock up for a day or two. i think a pot of homemade soup and a crusty loaf of bread, should be soul warming. i made an extra stop at the craft store to grab a bit of extra yarn. i really could spend all day in there, dreaming about the stuff i wish i could make. : ) i would love to learn to sew.

i have a mosaic post up at the mortal muses. please stop by, say hello maybe you'd like to link your photo up.  : )

a few project i have are coming due. and because they are so dear to my heart, i will take some time from this space to finish them. it might be a bit quiet here for a couple of days.

palms clasped... thank you for every kind word you leave here. and thank you for every ounce of support you give me. i have been feeling my way in the dark a bit lately... eh at times that just happens. i stumble, i keep getting up.  ...i appreciate you.
you are loved

We're finally getting rain here in N.Cali so we'll be living off crock pot soup and sourdough bread this weekend. :)

Stay toasty.

Sometimes we stumble and it becomes a dance. I hope your heart dances with these few projects. Now if I was nearby I could help you learn to sew.

A bowl of soup and crusty bread is just want the soul doctor ordered for a pick me up this time of year! Sorry you are working through dark times, I've just come out of my own darkness over the month of December. The thing I remember is darkness helps us to appreciate the light, when it comes. Big hugs!

Hey there Christina,

How's your snow storm? Is it a winter wonderland outside? I woke up to a blanket of snow - the first snowfall since October, I think. It's so pretty! If it stays through tomorrow, I may have a chance to try out the cross country skis I bought at a garage sale last summer - hurray!

I hope you're having a good, relaxing weekend. Thank you for the link to Emeril's ginger aile. My husband will like that!

Stumble and keep getting up, yes, and I for one am glad you continue to get up. Nice photo, you do such great work on close up shots. I have been so busy at the senior center lately that I have not been using my camera much. There is a season for everything and I am realizing that more these days.

Oh my! It doesn't get better than that on a snowy day. I always do lots of baking when it snows here...preferably recipes from Scandinavia! x

Hi Christina, hope you are having a good week, staying warm and cozy. I hope you find a way to learn to sew, I can see you being really good at it. I'm not too good, but finally learned to sew a few things and it's a nice thing to know how to do. They will usually give you free lessons if you get a sewing machine and there are lots of little classes and even online blogs to help you along if you decide to start.

hope you're cozy
inside,
soul soothed and nourished,
as the soup warms your belly.
I've been a bit blue too.
I think it's all the gray.
I just have this feeling
that life will find you sewing
beautiful things
some day.
Seasons. It's all about seasons.
The fruit of this season
will be sweet:)
