“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke "Letters to a young poet"
i have missed you and this space, but such time is needed, now and again. i am working on bits of me, working on the places within, hoping to move past, the past. 2011 was good to me in many ways, but it had its moments, moments i will not be sad to say goodbye to. new is good. a fresh start is needed. twenty~ twelve, i welcome you with open arms, without the baggage i have carried, thus far.
i have chosen a word for the new year.... sail. my wish is to sail... may it be in deep, blue seas that i fear, or concrete seas i brave... never the less i am along for the ride... sail.
do you have your black eye peas soaking, for tomorrow? a bit of good luck won't hurt, for the new year. wink. ; ) have you chosen a word, made goals, have dreams for 2012? do share.

I am excited to see what this year has in store for you, and really enjoy the word you've chosen. I am not going to choose one because I'm not sure I could commit to just one. Instead I made a list of things I want to accomplish and (with planning) I think they will happen. Happy new year!
Joyful new year to you friend.
Oh Christina such beautiful, soft images and I love your quote. I wish you and those you love calm seas, joyful adventures and safe and contented moorings during your 2012 journey. xx
I think of you so often ... I have chosen a word and written about it today ....
Much love to you and yours my friend,

You are one of the brave, deep, laughing, thoughtful, all-around beautiful people in my life. When I read this, I thought YES. 2012 has been gratefully embraced by these arms as well. Let's all sail on. These white images feel so clean and fresh! x
I think your word, sail, is a lovely word for the year 2012. My word is Grace, because it's all Grace isn't it?!
Wishing you all the best Christina as we begin this new year.
Coconut biscuits! Delicious.
Sail away Christina-- Sending hugs and cheers to you in 2012.

I am so enjoying everyone's words and "sail" is a very good word indeed. Yes, my word is "passion", one that I do believe will challenge me.
Loved reading about your grandmother and the coconut biscuits. I have missed you.
Happy New Year, Christina!
I like your word for this new year...sail... You are opening yourself up to new adventures, I think. There is no doubt that 2012 will bring new opportunities for you as you have an open heart and a positive outlook. It's like an invitation for good things to come your way.
I haven't chosen a word for the new year but we have a goal that has been in our hearts and minds for the last few months. I have to stay mum about it for now but if it does happen..and hopefully soon...it will bring about so many changes and new opportunities. Crossing our fingers!
