What lovely pictures! I can actually see the moisture on those luscious cherries.
Do you know, the ONLY time I've ever been to Wisconsin was a childhood summer. One of my preeminent memories is picking cherries -- and eating them until my belly ached! My mother made jam with the rest.
Totally gorgeous photos and I do love, love cherries right from the tree if possible. Two cherry trees sit in my yard. Some years we get alot and some years none. This year it looks like it will be a few to hand pick and devour right there.
...and captured by you, they just look even more tentalicious ! I also love that you're quoting Skye Gyngell, i've just discovered her some time ago and fell in love with her ! I'm going to London this week end and hopefully i can make it to Petersham nurseries just to catch a glimpse of this kitchen goddess :-) Enjoy the day and the cherries, dear friend... xo Lala
ps : shame on me for not being here lately....Christina, your new look is fab !

Cherries are the best! What a pretty, dainty cup.

So beautiful...I love cherry season!
I adore cherries…..sadly every single one on our tree is riddled with maggots. Oh I had such major cherry jam plans that have come to nothing :(
Oh how they satisfy me. I love cherries...the perfect fruit! And so beautiful!
