on a weekend and wtsb

hey there.
i went to the farmers market on saturday, and although it was pouring rain, i met the most enchanting woman. i know, right ; ) she specializes in herbs, peaches + morels. just lovely. we spoke for over an hour. she showed me pictures of her herb gardens + her summer peach trees in full bloom.
i missed out on all her morels, but i am crossing my fingers, for next week-
a bit of heat in the pan, mushrooms, a tad of creme, a sprig or two of sweet woodruff + a piece of french bread. im all over that. oh no, i couldn't forget a nice red. the wanna be sommelier in me, would chose a spanish, red.

i made strawberry jam, sunday morning. just a few jars to test the patch.
sipped coffee + relaxed in the bookstore, while the kids roamed the mall. ya know i love em, cause i SO don't do the mall. ; )

the new words to shoot by post is up. the word is mirror, this time around. there is such amazing work over there. hoping you will stop by.

happy monday, my friends.

WTSB is so beautiful this week...it is so inspiring to see how there can be so many wonderful interpretations of a word.
It was raining when I went to the farmer's market too...and it is STILL raining. I would complain if it weren't for reading all the sorrowful news about the tornados...

I wandered our farmers' market on Sunday. I didn't buy anything - someone was straining at the leash - but it was fun to enjoy the sights and smells. Hopefully Oregon strawberries will be here soon. :)

Happy Monday!

I stopped by "wtsb". Love your photos and seeing how everyone interpreted the theme. Taking time to reflect is a wonderful thing...especially if you have homemade jam and something fabulous to spread it on! xo

I long for a nearby farmer's market. It's hard to believe that living in the midst of farms galore finding a thriving farmer's market is not going to happen.

Love the red strawberries!

Strawberries! What did you do with them? Forgive me, I know nothing of these morels of which you speak. Morals, yes. Morels, no. Sounds yummy though. You had me at a pinch of French bread. xo
