on a sunday

oh the rain. it started this morning, and it hasn't stopped. the rain inspired me to grab a bunch of yellow, daffodils at the store- along with wine and the ingredients for cheddar, broccoli soup.
a stop to the book shop for my favorite magazines. and home i went.
grey days are needed- they slow the day down, leaving room for poetry about
rain drops
puddles
the first day of spring
and cold afternoons
spent under quilts with books
on a sunday~

Rolling thunderstorms here all day...it was so peaceful. Funny how some people don't like the sound of thunder, but I do as long as I don't have to get out in it!

Sounds like a kozy Sunday. You make a rainy day seem so nice :-) Here in Oslo, Norway it was wonderful sunshine yesterday, and it continues today. Makes me want to go out for a stroll with my baby soon. Have a wonderful day.

I stopped at the store on St. Patrick's Day and found a potato cheddar soup. It got me wanting to make some myself - I just need to dig out a recipe. There is nothing like a good cheesy soup.

There is also something so lovely about a rainy Sunday.
