times like this

homemade gumdrop tree ; )
years ago i had a gumdrop tree, made of some type of plastic. sadly it broke. i decided i could make one, that was just as lovely, as the one i used to have. a few branches from outside, minus the snow, and we were good to go. ; ) it's times like this, with the kids, that mean the most to me, during the season.
happy monday!

one love~

Oh my goodness...I've not seen a gumdrop in ages. What a charming decoration to make and you're so right. The best thing about the holidays are the little things we do with the children in our lives.

Hope you're snug and cozy during this winter blast.

Oh Christina ~

I was just sitting her thinking how I could create a special little tree for my crumb (we are in the midst of a move, and i feel she needs some sort of prettiness to overshadow the 'changes') ~ a gumdrop tree is ideal!

BTW, everyone I've sent your holiday card to has commented on the incredible beauty!

Much love,
Melissa

I ADORE this picture. You can't get gumdrops in England or I'd be buying some tomorrow. Colorful inspiration, once again.

Happy times, good memories. My mother used to make these when I was little. She would get a branch from outside and make it. I used to help her. We haven't made one in several years. Think I should suggest we make one this year.

Hi Christina. My best friend bought me a copy of Artful Blogging for Hanukkah this year as I have just started my own blog!
