on a sunday

goodness it is cold, and snowy here. the tea kettle has been in constant use- it's been holding a steady simmer on the back burner.
books
knitting
ham + havarti cheese, grilled on sour dough bread. and spicy mustard of course.
and this movie, with the very handsome, benjamin bratt. this movie will remain in my heart. it held memories of growing up in a similar neighborhood... home, life, roses in a vase, setting beside, Mary. and so many songs, that were played at our wedding ; ) love.
fuzzy socks
thick quilts
red mittens
happy sunday+ stay warm, my friends.

Happy Sunday to you, as well! I'm folding laundry, cleaning up my workroom, taking it nice and slow so I can get over this little cold I caught. Perhaps this afternoon a fire and some reading. :)

Happy Sunday, Christina! It's late here, we'll be in bed in less than an hour. It's been a quiet, slow day- much needed and highly appreciated.

Today is a damp and chilly day ~ the kind of day to stay in one's PJs, with a hot cup of cocoa or tea.

the sandwich looks yummilicious!

well, we were cold (for us) - in the 40s and i stayed indoors all day, not wanting the outside wind to bother me. right now i am in my bare feet watching football wishing i had some of your food, wishing i could learn to love the cold - you make it sound pretty wonderful.

Being able to sit down and absorb this today has been a gift after a situation yesterday that so often happens when young adults forget that they are still the child and the parent is still the parent. :;sigh:: I need a hot chocolate-and-warm-memories day today. I have a great start now!

My husband and I lived in the Mission for about a week many years ago, a lifetime ago. The landlady was afraid we were a threat because we were sleeping on mats on the floor and my husband rode a motorcycle. Those were the days. Your sandwich sounds amazing, I want one. Yes, keeping warm and cozy on a cold winter day - a very good thing. Thanks for all you share.

OMG! Ham and havarti!!! I so wish I could reach into your scrumptious photo and have half. But then I'd probably want the other half and then you wouldn't have a photo.
