and hummingbirds

dearest autumn, you make my life so sweet. : )

how are you today, my friends?

i am in love... i would adore, seeing this up close. deep sigh, for discovered memories.

while antiquing this weekend, i found these two hummingbird, sketches. i just had to have them. there is something so personal and serene about them.

and the framing has amazing detail. they appear to be old, but in very good shape. i'm almost certain, they were loved, at one time. on to a new chapter in our home. love love.

a bowl of popcorn and a date with, "this emotional life" on public television, tonight. all about happiness.

as for the rest of the day, i will allow the  comforts of home, be my guide.

peace~

Christina, what a beautiful tribute to Autumn.
I just saw your feature in Artful Bogging and each word is stunning!! I have read the article at least 4 times thats just how good it is. The first little caption about getting out of bed each day blew me away. I am so happy I found your blog.

What treasures you discovered! And your leaves are so much prettier than ours here this year. Can you believe that the leaves in Maine and Mass are dull as dishwater this year? It has been the least vibrant fall I can ever remember. In fact, about half of the leaves haven't even changes yet. :( At least I have your beauties to look at! xo Gigi

Autumn was never my favorite season, actually my least favorite season, but I'm growing to love it more each year. With age comes wisdom? Lucky you finding those little birds to bring home. Enjoy your comforts of home.

Hummingbirds! Oh, my favorite of all birds. I had a hummingbird nest in my back yard several years ago, was such a gift. Those prints are charming and framed so beautifully. Great find.

Hmmm, those negatives. Makes me think...if digital cameras were around back then, those pictures may have been lost forever.
