i made homemade salsa. how could i not, with the beautiful tomatoes in season.
the corn and tomatoes, will soon make room for, yams and collards. oh, the seasons are a changing.
the warm weather is deceiving, the calendar reminds me, summer seems to be packing it's bags. sigh.
were getting ready for school to begin next week. i have had such a blast spending this summer with you~ almost daily : ) back to teaching for me. and surprisingly my kids are ready, i can't argue with that~
wink.
i do look forward to fall, i think it's sure to bring it's own adventures, with it's arrival.
how are you?

I am so ready for fall. As much as I love the warmth of summer, the cooking, baking and beauty of fall make me very, very happy.
It's 92 degrees in New England today --and my grands went back to school. Very strange weather. I remember wearing a wool skirt the first day of school when I was their age.
Your salsa photos are terrific! Can gazpacho be far behind?
Have a wonderful week!

I tell you Chistina, you just kill me with all the food photos you have. I almost always leave your blog hungry. ;) If you ever do write that cookbook, you just let me know and I'll be buying it.
Our kiddos have been in school for a couple of weeks, at least. Enjoy the few days you have left. And enjoy those first magic days when you start back. I always loved the first days of school, even if I hated the rest of the year.

I am hanging on to the last, lingering days of summer...maybe the best part of summer of all...and yet I love autumn too...
Salsa with fresh grown tomatoes are wonderful. I picked a fresh tomatoe just yesterday, there is nothing like them. I will be sad to see the season change, but I am looking forward to new adventures of autumn. Take care, dear friend, and have a delightful week returning to teaching.
my mouth is watering, as we speak...or as I type. ;)
wishing you a fantastic school year ahead.
