longer days
the sun was shinning so bright this morning. it's brightness deceived me, into believing i had over slept. when in reality, it was only a bit past six. such a beautiful gift, of a longer day.
i started reading this book today ; )
wearing this. camera + flower charms = love. i adore etsy.
i am looking forward to summer. the longer days, the lazy schedule, getting a few things finished.
oh how i would love to get my photos in order. my kids baby photos are in boxes. sad. archival safe boxes but, in boxes. there are old photos that aren't even dated. what happened? when did i let this slip by the wayside? i am a stickler about photos, i even used to scrapbook, i just lost the love for that. there are duplicate photos, that need to be thrown away, when no one is looking. and memories to be filed for my children. this is a project i will work on, slowly and patiently this summer. it's important to me. if you have a system, that seems to have helped you keep your photos in order, please share. ; )
happy day
one love~

love the picture, such a simple thing and you make it so beautiful. maybe you could have a fun afternoon with your children showing them the picture and at the same time organize them all ... sending love
I'm lovin' the creamy, soft petals. I clicked on your link and then ended up ordering a book by Laurie Colwin. Just look at how you influence me. *smiles*
Have a delightful evening!
I have to stop coming to your blog- I end up buying books and beautiful jewelry every time ;-)
I did order the book from the previous post- eye candy- it appears to be a hearty dose of eye candy and I can get lost in that- my oldest daughter is 18, I didn't even make a baby book for her, I kept accumulating keep sakes and photos in boxes- I kept thinking I would develop a love for scrap booking, but it never happened. For graduation, I buckled down and sorted, scanned, organized etc her life from birth to 18- I scanned awards, 1st place ribbons, hospital bracelets etc. I went over to Shutterfly and made her a hard bound book of her life- I may not be a scrapbooker, but I really got into this- designing, using ideal quotes, balancing just enough words with the right picture combinations. 100+ pages later- I felt good knowing she would have this book of her life forever She was over the moon when she received it, 4 weeks since graduation and she still can be found sitting on the sofa looking through it, saying out loud "I love this." So yes, it is an exercise in patience and being kind to yourself- and the pay off is ten fold- now I fear I am developing an addiction to making books for my kids :)
it's always good to be here friend
i always feel like there is so much i need to do, when i come over here. you are an inspiration.
i so need to do the same thing...sigh. i wish i was back in school so that i could have the summers off. waaaaah! ;)
no problem...oonu have fun wid out me. lol
Beautiful photos of the flowers. I have mine an album or so per year with the year at the beginning. Don't know if you would want to do it that way or not, but it is helpful for me when I go back and look at them now. Hope this helps.
I'm a scrapbooker-- but I'm usually at least 6 months behind. I have them divided by kids or families so they can easily be divided up when I'm gone (as creepy as that sounds).
Take your time and catch up. Sometimes you just need to linger over old photos :-)

oh i so understand your pain. from a young age I've loved photo's. From 13 up until now...I've always had a camera in my hand. but up until 2003, I never listed who was in the photo or even dated them :-( so now I go through mounds and mounds of photo's...desperately trying to carefully take them off of magnetic sheets and figure out dates for them.
my method is to seperate first. I tend to gravitate towards seperation of years instead of events or people. after I'm finished (I"m a work in progress, dontcha know) seperating then I will decide if I want to scrapbook or just put in photo albums or both.i decided to do it slowly and I'm glad i am doing it slowly. Number one because it is a bit overwhelming and two...its fun to take that trip down memory lane :-)
good luck!
your photographs pierced my heart
with their simple pure beauty.
today is the very tender beginning of haiku my hear friday.
i so hope you will join us,
we lovers of words,
care takers of simplicity.
We past the longest one ... a few days ago ... hope you enjoyed it!
Keep a few favorite duplicate photos and create magnets using an Xyron machine. It's super easy and inexpensive. I'm not a rep, just have loved using mine in this way.
Oh Christina! I so need to organize my photos too...and now I have all my sister's photos I want to organize...
just perfect!!!
