Hi Christina,

Haven't "talked" to you in awhile. I ADORE peonies, I have a huge bunch of pink ones planted on the side of my house and the buds are just about to open. I can't wait to fill my house with their fragrance! I'm always stunned at the speed with which these plants grow...just 3 weeks ago they were only about a foot high, now they are about 4' high! What color are yours?

Oh yes, I am looking forward to the peonies, too. I have one plant that belonged to my mother -- it must be close on 50 years old, and still going strong. :)

I love your photo today. You make such beautiful food photos! Do you know the blog "Cannelle et Vanille?" Her food photos are to die for!

Hope you have a wonderful Earth Day. :)

Happy Earth Day darling Christina. Sometimes when I see that new growth I just want to bury my face in the soil and inhale the sweet smell of it. But, then I'd look crazy...

I first saw the photo and my mind immediately said, "Oh, put those together!!" Toast them - melty gooey cheese, crusty bread, sweet jam. Bliss.

The *thought* of peonies growing fills my heart with joy at the possibilities. Bliss

And..you have coffee. Bliss

All in all, a great day!
Thanks for letting us in on it!

Happy Earth Day to you too :-) your peonies are beautiful - pure delight! I just wonder what would their smell do to my allergies ... I don't get it - I love every bit of mother nature and I can't enjoy this beautiful blooming of everything around me without sneezing, coughing and seeing the Beauty through my teary eyes - that's unfair!! lol. have a beautiful day Christina
