in stillness

this morning i sat in stillness and then prayer...
asking nothing for myself.
actually i asked for nothing at all.
i just sat peacefully and allowed the moment,
to become bigger, than my wants or needs.
i dig that.
"don't pray for a thing. pray to put yourself in harmony with God."
RZA
*
im so enjoying this cookbook.

oh, how i love the pages, inside of this book ; )

this wednesday is gray outside, like a black and white photo.
it's lovely.
i honestly, could sit by the window, wearing this old sweater
and read the words of others, all day long. and it would just
hang the moon for me ; )
happy wednesday.
one love~

How perfect...to sit in silence and embrace the moment. I think I will do the same.

Wonderful pictures...It's becoming gray but the windows in the house are all open and a light spring breeze is blowing...It's grand!!! Wishing you well! Cathy

So beautiful. I love the idea of letting the stillness and prayer put our wants and needs in perspective. Life feels better when they feel smaller, doesn't it?

I too could spend the day reading the words of others. so grateful that I have a block of time to do just that today.

But I'll do it more slowly and peacefully and presence-ly because of your words.thanks for sharing your voice. Tara

I am in COMPLETE agreement with Ason in regard to the RZA quote. :)

I love how you described this gray day as a black and white photo. It is very much like that here today as well and I've never heard anyone put it so beautifully.

dearest Soul,
i love RZA! Ason, is so right!
and it is dreary here too, but since you made it feel so poetic, i see the day in a more beautiful way.
thank you

I've added the Rose Bakery to my Paris list. Was it just a coincidence that you posted a picture of that beautiful rose?

I look at rainy days and winter days the same way...in various shades of black and white, which I love black/white photography...so thinking that way helps make even those days beautiful

oh how i love that quote! and you simply must tell me the name of the book, (I'm going to Paris in July, a stop over on the way to Denmark. Our first family holiday off the North American continent.) the photos are almost as fabulous as yours. :-)

Your morning meditation is much like my own, Christina... If I ask, it is often for others, not for me. :o) Gathering these thoughts like a warm shawl and carrying them today... Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))

Hi! im so sorry ive been meaning to email you back but moments of stillness are hard to come by...im glad you loved the package & i love this attitude of thoughtful meditation! my Dad told us years ago we should have prayers that are only filled with gratitude, sometimes the precious efforts to ponder gratitude are what make the days more & more :)

lots of loveliness

If I look at our rainy grey days in winter as a day in b&w, I think it will change my entire view of the day. Thank you for that perspective shift!

christina
thank you for your wise and calming words....
sigh.....

yesterday i prayed then on bent knee waited for god to wrap his arms around me. and he did. he assured me that all will be okay. and it is.

today my load is lighter, i feel renewed.... and so deeply connected.

silence was my answer....

thank you for this...♥kim
