i couldn't help but weave these glorious, paper hearts, through my palms. they were made with such love, and traveled all the way from an austrian country side, to find me. these hearts remind me of love... sheer love. thank you my sweet country girl, for the gift of jewels. you are incredibly talented and kind. a special wink to Se'lah, for hosting this amazing exchange.
sigh for the beauty of this four leaf clover, and antique book. a previous owner, of the book, inscribed it with the most beautiful handwriting, from 1913. double swoon!"the rose gives out perfume to everyone who comes near, so should the fragrance of our love be bountiful and all-giving."
from the book~"thoughts from a village garden"
is your week going good? im working and keeping busy. i am also, SO loving the olympics! i become a fountain of tears, watching these athletes take to the podium. : ) i love watching dreams unfold, into the most beautiful of realities. pages of books call me before bed, my lens has me dreaming of possibilities and springs promise continues to fill me, with hope.
even with the most dreary winter days, i can feel love has found me... and for that i am So very grateful.
peace

37 ladlefuls of love:
A beautiful gift of jewels. Your week sounds special. My week is good, very good in fact. Taxes have been taken to someone more competent than myself to do. This is a big burden lifted. Now I am off to help my 89 year old aunt sew a dress for a little 2 year old girl. She wanted to make her a frilly dress for Easter. Such fun! Spring is coming, I can see the signs! Daffodils are opening.
have you seen Joanie Richette's (spelling?)performance...brought tears to my eyes, I cant even begin to imagine the pride her loved ones and countrymen feel...
i've gotten back into my love of reading...YES! the quiet, the peace and sweet solitary peace and quiet
Marilyn* that dress will made from love.
Jakki* i am tell you, i was sobbing like a baby, when she performed. i adore the olympics. : )
What a glittering post! And what a gift. Just lovely. xo
What fabulous hearts in your hands. The week here is brightened by glorious sun on bedazzled snow.
omg--the olympics are killing me too! I'm in awe and tears several times a day.
Seeing that clover reminds me of when I was carrying my baby thru the grass one Spring day in Germany, and stopped and reached down and plucked up a 4 leaf clover. (for all I know, I was standing in a whole field of 4 leafs) I was stunned. I saved it in my copy of The Prophet. Which I'm taking as a sign to go read right now.
Hugs!
Just the tonic for today...your beautiful words....!! Those hearts in your hand are gorgeous! Have a wonderful day, Christina..warm hugs and love sent your way! xxoo :)
Came across your blog through the afropolitan typepad, and I'm glad I did girl. Your blog actually has an aura. Will be back!
Your words always make me smile. I am so looking forward to spring and the photos I will be able to take. I'm holding onto those thoughts to get me through the rain. But we have had a bit of sun around here lately, so I can't complain. Enjoy your day!
The heart banner is so lovely in it's simplicity. I think I'll make some and give them as gifts next Valentine's. Thanks for sharing Christina. And yes, the Olympics have made me gasp! and cry tears of joy many nights this week. How fantastic we get to share this
They look so beautiful intwined in your fingers. LOVE.
Giving feels so amazingly good.
We are following skiier Lindsey Vonn's progress at the Olympics, my husband works with her...just knowing her story and what skiing means to her makes me so aware of the passion and dedication these athletes have. It's awe-inspiring and beautiful!
Love to you my sweet friend!!!
xo Dawn
Hearts and four leaf clovers = lucky at love. But we already knew that about you! Thanks, as always, for sharing...
I love that the chapter in the book is called A Little Sermon. I feel as though you gave us one here today, a beautiful little sermon, as always.
Happy that love has found you...!
Your post today helped me remember that winter isn't forever and my sinuses won't always be stuffy!
Thank you for your sharing today.

Beautiful jewels and beautiful post. I needed to read this, bit lacking in the gratitude department today, for no good reason. But mood follows action, so I'll take some.
i am loving the olympics too! sounds like you are having a good week...i hope your week continues to be wonderful.
Beautiful things from beautiful people. I have not watched any of the olympics but I know what you mean about the emotions of watching those athletes, so heartfelt and touching.
I read after I crawl into bed for the night too...as a matter of fact my next post is about books and reading (although I have not posted it yet).
Have a blessed day!
the olympics has totally taken over my life, too and I'm in love with that....the tears, the excitement, the ability to feel so incredibly proud of these kids.....
and oh spring....please come soon...let us love all over you and remind you how much you've missed.....
That is such a beautiful gift of jewels, for someone so deserving. Enjoy it, Christina.
I have been blubbering my way through the Olympics too, sighing and swooning and screaming at the telly!

Amazing that you bought that same Tea Haiku book too. Did you see in my comments a comment from the author? I was so surprised when he left a comment. It is a fun little book.
tears for the olympics and the dreams fought for and come true. busy as a bee in spring at work but trying to remember what is important each day.
hope you have a beautiful day
I've been enjoying the olympics too...find myself tensing and moving my body along with the athletes...and smiling at the end of a good performance...and calling out with each fall...I have been loving the aerials...amazing....
Love your antique book...did it come with the 4 leaf clover in it?...the quote is beautiful.
OH what a wondersome garland.
As always, you have the most beautiful images on your blog! Xoxo
Nice to know that I'm among kindred spirits in the Olympic fan zone! If we can't all well up with tears together, at least we can share here...at Christina's(of course) Thanks for having us, and sweetening our days.

Just read Jakki's comment. Oh yes, Joannie Rochette. The mark of a dedicated athlete, a dedicated young woman who trained for the Olympics and whose mother supported her every step of the way. Proud? Oh we very much are...she's been a shining example of what Olympic competition is all about. Through pain and heartache..an example to everyone that we can do what we need to do even through the most difficult of times. xo
Very inspirational!
I have been crying too! I had no idea I would be such an emotional basketcase as I watch the olympics! But it has been so much fun.
Those paper hearts are blissful!
