we started off with cafe' au laits

we started off with cafe' au laits
then
i ordered the croque-monsieur and nicoise salad~
hubby had the spinach and roquefort omelette with a croissant~
*
we escaped all that had to be done for a while
i had to remind myself i wasn't in paris
; )

i love that the talented chef here believes in
 solid unassuming french cafe fare
*
and sensible prices
; )
+
an onsite baker of croissants

*
it ended with chocolate and blueberries

and promises of having more afternoons like this
in
2010
; )
i am headed your way to visit your sweet blogs
*
have fun ringing in the new year
my friends
~
i send you love

Oh I am laughing and my stomach is now rumbling and I shouldn't but I will compare your fabulous meal with my experience yesterday. Just a hamburger, please, mustard no onions, a small one, I said, and when it came it was slathered with mayonnaise and ketchup, though they got the no onions part right, and no says I, mustard, please and so kind they were, we will cook another for you, but within moments they were back, new burger in hand, but not really, just the old one, most of the mayo swiped off, and tons & tons of mustard swiped on. A place I've been going to for years, but never again. I shall instead come here and soothe my soul with accounts of food made with love.

Happy 2010!!

:) Debi
