bouquets

Today is*
finding a pudding steamer and fitted top in a local shop. Swoon!
loving your comments on books, life and william + irene.
you share with me anytime, my friends. i read every word.
you romance me, with placing your grandparents names here. I dig that!
getting pink boxes filled with love.
swapping books xo
christmas bouquets
chocolate fudge ritz crackers
warm blankets
and dumplings with plum dipping sauce
warm coats for strangers
homemade gift tags
holding on to the check tightly, as i hand it over for the heating bill. the poor guy understood my (wisconsin winters) pain lol " i feel your pain lady" ; )
vacuuming our bedroom carpet
and wondering where to put all this stuff i placed on my bed
filling our trash collectors thermoses with Kona coffee
the smell of pine
Nora Jones and her velvet voice
the silence the snow fall brings to the city streets
and gladly giving in to watching the polar express
*
How are you today?
one love~

Beautiful day you're having.
Same here; snow drifts, transforming this village, everything seems so quiet and tranquil and frozen and sparkling.
Accross the continents yet connected.
Isn't that swell?
Enjoy your evening!

Such a beautiful list for the day. You are the sweetest; I love that you give the trash collectors some good Kona coffee!

Heat bills, ugh! My husband has been keeping the thermostat in the low 60s, trying to keep the bill down, but I told him that he had to turn it up for my Texas parents! We kept the kitchen warm baking today.

It's snowing in London right now. I just spoke to the husband, who is drinking at the Sherlock Holmes pub near Trafalgar Square. I hope the wind blows some our way.

I miss the snow! It was crisp and sunny here today. Lovely day for a walk.

Mostly I think I'm drifting in and out of consciousness...banged the side of my head on the heating duct when I was in the crawl space this afternoon -- right on the sharp corner. Yes, I saw stars and there was some blood...but I'm okay...just a little "dazed & confused"!!

Love your list...never seen chocolate covered ritz crackers (we are SO deprived here in Canada..lol!!) and the cheque for the heating...we had to replace our furnace at the end of last winter and spent $$$ to get high efficiency..what a difference in our heating costs!!! So yes, I feel that pain too.

You are such a big heart -- filling the trash collectors' thermos' (or is it theromses or thermosi...I told you, I took a hit to the head!!) with kona coffee...Lord woman you are loved!!!! ♥

I'm just about to vacum the whole upstairs and I'm waiting for my sheets to be done in the dryer...

and those wisconsin heating bills....mine is sitting here waiting to be paid and I think it just laughed at me a little bit when I scrunched my nose up at it....

I love filling the trash collector's thermos with Kona coffee...once upon a time, I'd offer them a cold beverage to relieve the hot FL sun.

melting, xo

Christina, it was almost melting here today. very strange since a week ago it was minus 35, so had the windows open for fresh air, now doing some cleaning before hubby gets home from work. I loved your list today. Big hug!

Oh, what happiness you bring with your list of your days, your music, I can feel the warmth around you, so glad you paid that heating bill, and I am suddenly all loose here, all the Christmas work rush really, really over except for retouching snowflakes from a boy's mouth, where I would let them stay, but no biggie, a 2 minute job and done, done & then what will we do for money until the end of January but I don't care - something loosened at last, and I scatted my way through my blog post and now on the couch all cuddled with the cat, an old b&w movie on tv - Christmas in Connecticut, which is old & silly & I love it and I even own it, but so much more fun to find it accidentally showing, and did I mention I have loosened up, lol, especially my talking, please forgive me.

What a fantastic list...
I was feeling a bit bah humbug today, but after reading this list, I am going to sit by my tree with a mug of hot chocolate.
I've been busy - letting too much time get away from me. Love your new blog banner and profile pic!
I also love that I was flipping through a Somerset Studio blogging mag, and they listed yours as one of their favorite blog banners.

This is a list to savor, sweet friend. I gladly gave in and watched Polar Express the other night, too. What a treat.

I am crafting, crafting, crafting, making gifts for Christmas, including a Blurb book for my mother of our trip to London this past summer. Just finished it tonight and am having it shipped to her when it's printed! Shhhh . . . don't tell her!

Sending you love and Christmas cheer. Gigi

Another sweetly inspiring list, Christina. Ohh..the heating bill and how hard it is to pay, but today I'm creating trees from fresh boxwood and listening to Christmas music which warms the soul, even on a gray December day.

Many of your posts remind me of one of my favorite songs. It comes from the "Sound of Music" and the song, sung by Maria, is called "My Favorite Things". Along the way reading your favorite things I slip in a few of my own. Thank you, thank you for helping us remember our favorite things.

Oh I must jump on a plane and come and live with you. Your posts always make me think your life is so much more fragrant than my own.

Norah Jones, mmm haven't listened to that in a while. Thanks for the reminder! x

Lovely list! Today is spending time indoors deciding on recipes for next week and tonight I'll be looking for more twinkle lights to be dazzled with.

Nora Jones- well she is just a slice of heaven- oh and polar express, very popular in our home- we spent the day doing school Christmas parties and watching holiday shows- now it is time to be lazy and snack :)

Mary Jo from TrustYourStyle said...

This is just the best list. I feel right there. Love Norah too. If could wear digital out, I'd have to buy all her albums again. About to make a grilled portabello/sweet pepper & pesto sandwich.

Sending you a warm & cozy weekend!

Oh, Christina, sounds like you're having a wonderful season and making everyone around you vibrate to your beautiful energy :) Sorry the heating bill is a pain... but maybe you can take comfort that your soul is so warm and sweet it's sending out warmth and love to the whole world from that Wisconsin address.

Pretty amazing, if you reflect on it.

We're headed out of town, so I wish you happy holidays now, in case I don't get to before we get back :)

I love the way you describe life.

My day is good summer holidays have begun and I have leave from work to spend time with family. Couldn't get any better.

That's my favourite part of this wonderful list. Beautiful words!

Don't you just love that snowy silence? There is no other silence quite like it.
I just wandered over to wish you a most magical Christmas. May you be swaddled with love (I know you will) and tickled with laughter.
