pink thoughts

pink roses getting wet from the rain as i walk home
a neighbor waving to me
the thought of picking my camera up again
reading "to kill a mocking bird", at 40 years old
laying down for a nap, and waking up with the whole family sleeping in the bed, including the dog ; )
baked pancakes on sunday morning
mammograms coming back clear
listening the words of sisters, that have mammograms that were not clear
having an old friend respond to a letter
tiny lamps left on in the kitchen welcoming me home
prayers and moments for those who cancer has touched
hope
These weeks of pink thoughts, have brought me to the doorstep of noticeable beauty, I won't easily forget.
Next week will be our last pink thoughts, I look forward to it. I invite you to join in. No rules, come as you are~ ; )
Peace~

Here's to having your mammogram coming back clear....

My 16 year old is reading To Kill A Mockingbird...he has no response either way. Don't know if that is good or bad...

I have so enjoyed Pink Thoughts and I love my new 'home' here!

Oh, I'm so glad your mammogram came back clear! And I love the whole family piling into the bed, plus dog, when you took a nap.

I used to cuddle up with my mom in her bed, and after my separation and going through divorce (about 15 years ago), I could only get a really good sleep by laying down where she'd slept. I claimed it was her mama pheromones watching over me -- made all the difference!

By the way, that is one gorgeous photo. I actually drew in my breath in a little gasp when it popped up on my screen -- sure sign of Beauty!

Also by the way, I received your wonderful package -- and my favorite part was your other gorgeous photo. Oh, wow. I'm so touched by your generosity and heart, Christina. I've blogged about you and the ongoing pay-it-forward on both blogs today :)

Sending you a big hug and a thank you!

(And that doesn't preclude a pink post coming this afternoon...)

I'm sorry I dropped the ball on this. I've been stressed with our family's Christmas give to hospitalized children. I'll definitely participate next week.

I have been enjoying your Pink Thursdays from afar as I have been busy visiting my sister who has metastatic CA...my heart goes out to all those that cancer touches...which is probably just about everyone...and I'm so happy that your mammo is clear...We need a similar early detection tool for Lung Ca which currently kills more women than Breast Ca...

a clear mammogram is a gift that needs to be cherished....

and with your arms up in the air and your feet dancing, it also needs to be sung to the universe !

Yay to clear mammo's. Mine also came back clear yet again. PTL.

I read "To Kill A Mockingbird" when I was about 12 years old while at summer camp. I had never read anything up to that point that affected me so deeply and it altered me forever and set me on a path of exploring excellent literature which continues to this day.

I know the happiness and light-heartedness of a clear mammogram! I also know the scary feeling of when it's not clear and you need a biopsy, which has happened to me twice. Thank goodness both biopsies were clear! I'm joining you in Pink Thoughts today on my site with a bit of a rant!

Such lovely pink thoughts. My letter came today reminding me it was time for the mammogram. It is so worth it to do, eventhough it is not fun. Happy to hear yours was clear.

beautiful! As always.

I may have to pick up To Kill A Mockingbird. I read it as a kid again in my 20's. It needs a revisit. Such a spectacular book.
