slow

I am in need of a slow morning like this. A few thank you cards to be made, and dropped in the mail ; ) The static of an old record player, as the needle nuzzles up to the vinyl, of Duke Ellington. Just a simple, no frills, nothing planned, kind of day.
Happy Thursday, my friends.

I had a quick visit to town today and stopped by one of its great thrift shops. Found a CD with Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald kicking off the album. Was home before I knew it wondering where the last 20 miles went, but was oh so relaxed. Isn't it wonderful how music can dust the soul?

And vinyl...oh when my children did not know how to use a stereo. Made me feel old. But I love vinyl too.

There must be something in the air........a good wake up, family flying into town, good food and drinks. It's a wonderful day!

This whole day is exactly that, a slow day for me. Tomorrow will be another day. Yes, we need to give ourselves permission to have a slow day. I am not very good at that.
