The beauty of a butterfly is something, I will never try and fully understand. I admit, I chase them with camera in hand, head in the clouds. I would never have the heart to jar them... I love them, so dearly. Butterflies must, flutter freely ; )
Butterflies are~
daughters dancing on fathers feet
finishing a book and the characters remain with you for days
the laughter of children
having enough food to last another day before going to the store
grandma braiding your hair
unexpected good news
Curtis Mayfield once sang-
" The love of all mankind should reflect some sign...
Of the words I'm trying to recite...
They're close, but not quite...
Almost impossible to do...
Reciting the makings of you..."
Peace~
Join in the pet parade at planet m files and red or grey depends on the day.
Blessings~

What a lovely way to end my night with your beautiful words. I love the way you describe things. It's so soothing. Have a great night.
I could never jar a butterfly. love your descriptions of butterflies to you. mine are: smiles on my baby niece's face when she sees me, the puppies sleeping on my feet, having the cake release from the pan with no effort and the first taste of freshly cooked peas.
yes, yes, yes...smooches
Beautiful, I had an encounter with a butterfly awhile back, it was on my hand and flew away right before the photo was taken....but it sat on my hand.
What a wonderful poemful post.
Ah, butterflies and their ability to flit from place to place. So lovely. Recently thousands of them passed through the Bois de Boulogne in their migration phase. My husband saw them, but I missed the show. Such a sweet post, Christina. xoxox
Ah, such poetry...this is wonderful! I watched the butterflied and goldfinches feeding on the thistles outside my office yesterday. I didn't even attempt to photograph them, I just enjoyed them...
The beauty of your words and images makes my heart sing extra loud today, Christina. :o) Happy Day, sweet friend ((HUGS))

Fabulous bright colours :-) Love the orange monarch against the bright pink phlox. Nature has a way of coming up with the best colour combinations :-)
Thanks for sharing the pretty pictures and the wonderful words of wisdom :-)

The words are so beautiful. You never disappoint. Capturing a butterfly on the camera takes waiting calmly. I am waiting for a hummingbird.
Christina, I love your description of a butterfly.
Beautiful :)
Beautiful... and you again remind me of the beauty of the simple things!
What a beautiful post. And such great photographs, the colors are just gorgeous. Mother Nature really has the best paintbrush. Kathy

A free flying butterfly is the most beautiful type of butterfly.
