urban hope

The other day I was listed as; gifted urban photographer for a local photography job. I was honored and grateful. But, I requested that they change the title to- urban photographer with much hope for her community. And they did. I appreciate that. I love that.
I could hear auntie now. Eh, naw! Look at the short girl, tryen to git on da high horse, making da demands. lmao! No demands, just a request. ; )
One love

Sometimes I brace myself when I click on your pictures to make them bigger. I am amazed by your photography. There is a car coming and you are in the middle of the street. Amazing!! Are you fearless? 'Cause this is fearless to me. What lens did you use?

i wish i had the hope in my community that you did C. I know that is horrible of me to say but I'm being honest. You bring me back with your photos. i feel such a love in these photos.

Mario* Thank you! I am not fearless but the more cabbies and people yell at me to get my ass out of the way, the more I become comfortable with being in the way. It is worth capturing the shot. Crazy right? The lens was a 2.8... let me check and get back. A wide angle for sure.

Amina* It's never easy but things have got to get better in communities around the world. Hope is the beginning. : ) The people make the community. I am glad you find love in these shots. I do too.
