imagination blue skies wings

To regard the imagination as metaphysics is to think of it as part of life, and to think of it as part of life is to realize the extent of artifice. We live in the mind.” (wallace stevens)

It began as a frame in my imagination, then a reality with my lens. I was moved by the thought of the four.

I do not quie get what Wallace Stevens meant by saying that "To regard the imagination as metaphysics is to think of it as part of life" (much to say about it, i.e. is metaphysics reality,....), but I see it worked beautifully for you!

It's a beautiful interpretation of the prompt. I agree with at least part of Stevens' quote - ..."we live in the mind." Hope your son is feeling much better! xoxox

I live in the here and now but when I get lost in my thoughts, I am living in my mind. Which leads me to this, imagination can be such a powerful experience that it can actually be thought of as living. Have you ever journeyed through your imagination? Did it feel "real"? Brought on emotions like happiness? Now, that's living.

This is just my interpretation of my experiences. Sorry for the novel.

AWIAP* So glad the four got you to thinking, with this thought provoking quote, they displayed this week; )

PP* Thank you love! He is feeling much better.

SE'LAH* So true! I tend to believe our imaginations are the basis for some of the greatest things we accomplish in life. It's the imagination that allows me to say, oh with a lot of hard work I could...

I find it fascinating how I do not really understand the quote itself, but I can better understand the interpretations of it, including mine. Lovely angel.
