I do not quie get what Wallace Stevens meant by saying that "To regard the imagination as metaphysics is to think of it as part of life" (much to say about it, i.e. is metaphysics reality,....), but I see it worked beautifully for you!
It's a beautiful interpretation of the prompt. I agree with at least part of Stevens' quote - ..."we live in the mind." Hope your son is feeling much better! xoxox
I live in the here and now but when I get lost in my thoughts, I am living in my mind. Which leads me to this, imagination can be such a powerful experience that it can actually be thought of as living. Have you ever journeyed through your imagination? Did it feel "real"? Brought on emotions like happiness? Now, that's living.
This is just my interpretation of my experiences. Sorry for the novel.
