the lighthouse

at times i believed the waves of the sea were too much for me

so i thought

the harsh light flashed so many times

come this way

straighten up

contemplating what to do

i continued on

voices of Ja elders answered questions

gwan now soon come da healing

slowly I find my way back

the natural light welcomes me

i wrap myself in the glow

carefully i brush only some of the salt of the sea from my body

never wanting to forget the beautiful journey

: )

Happy Tuesday!

Dare I say this tops the rocking chair? : ) Dear one, whatever draws you to the sea I thank "it" immensely.

I clicked on your pic and went to heaven.

Amazing picture. Again. And, of course, perfect words.

That intensity of light in the center is wonderful. Great processing and effect! I love this one!

beautiful. I found my way here by Maddie's Stars and am loving every image, every word. I was just reading Mark Doty's poem "Long Point Light" this morning. This post reminded me of it...

If your poetry wouldn't have caught me, your profile "about me" would have... as it is they both did and I can't wait to explore your blog and get to know you more!
Nice to "meet" you Christina,

I'm swept away.
Your capture with the glowing sunrise/set behind the lighthouse is ethereal.
You have a keen sense of the divine, missy! Thank you a thousand times over for my lovely snail mail surprise, you know I LOVE that photo~! Going out tomorrow to have it framed. I'm so grateful, thank you Christine. You are very generous.

Hi, I'm home now. A light house guided us home early as both Barry and I suffer from homesickness after a very short time. I think there is a book in your future. And if you write it, I will read it.
